X-LOCK - The locking spindle nut for Dana 30, 35, 44 & 60 & 70 replaces the out dated Jam nut system.

The patented Stage 8 Locking Spindle Nut is comprised of 5 parts; 

• Thrust washer

• Specialized notched washer

• Spindle nut (which can be set to an individual pre-load value)

• Locking retainer

• Heavy spring steel snap ring

Stage 8 Locking Systems offers the opportunity to restore the dependability of Dana 44 and Dana 60 front assemblies with these Stage 8 X-Lock locking spindle nuts. 

These patented locking spindle nuts are guaranteed to never loosen, even under the most extreme conditions. The X-Locks were developed for the rugged life of competitive off-road vehicles. Any vehicle with Dana 44 and Dana 60 front assemblies can be retrofitted with the X-Locks for dependable, long service life and save thousands in repair dollars. The Locking Spindle Nut assembly is easily installed without any specialized tools and spindle nut itself can be locked within ½ degree of any position so you will never have to over or under torque and will maintain the required bearing preload value. Stage 8 X-Locks are laser-cut from 4130 steel and can be easily installed without any special tools. X-Locks are heat-treated and through-hardened and will maintain bearing preload value.
